About Me

Lindsay Lou - Home Baker

Sugar, sugar, and more sugar. That pretty sums up my shopping list each week. If I'm not baking for my customers, then I am experimenting in my kitchen for my friends, family, and of course for my own enjoyment.

I am a pastry school drop out. I started at the local tech college after graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Strategic Communications when no one would hire me and I hated the idea of a corporate job. So, while taking a few courses at the tech college, I was also a Chocolatier at a small chocolate shop making no money but having the time of my life! After receiving a job offer as a sous pastry chef at a prestigious French restaurant in Downtown Milwaukee, I figured my experience outweighed the generic knowledge a Baking Certificate had to offer. So I said, "PEACE OUT TECH COLLEGE" and continued down my path of sugary greatness! I officially started Lindsay Lou's Sweets & Treats in 2020.

Baking has always been a hobby, but when folks started offering to pay me for my goodies, I figured why not turn it into a business? The hardest part was figuring out my business name. To pay homage to my Grannie Annie, I called it her nickname for me, "Lindsay Lou."

To enjoy the comforts of my own kitchen, I bake out of my home and abide by the Wisconsin Home Baker rules and guidelines. Everything is labeled appropriately and sanitation rules and regulations are followed. Please note my kitchen is not inspected.

So, when your next sugary craving hits or you need something special for a celebration in Egg Harbor, Sister Bay, Sturgeon Bay, Baileys Harbor, or anywhere else in Door County, give me a call, shoot me an email, or find me on Social Media to order your one-of-a-kind, extra delicious, delights!
